AC Care and Maintenance

Air Conditioner (AC) often use as a to distribute the air to an occupied space. AC’s are most commonly used to achieve a more comfortable interior environment, typically for humans and other animals; however, AC is also used to cool rooms filled with heat. AC can be use as both in domestic and commercial surroundings. The air conditioner is a system or a machine that treats air. In construction, a complete system of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is known as HVAC. The main function of the air conditioner is to change the temperature. You need to make sure that your AC is functioning perfectly to avoid any major issues. So, to maintain it in the proper condition we need to follow some tips and then only our AC will be in proper condition.

Tips to Maintain AC

=] Check the filter

This part of AC must be replace every month. Even there are some filters which can be wash and use, but it’s better to replace it. So that you continue to enjoy clean air and that your AC works better.

=] Do not continuously keep on changing the temperature.

You should never keep on changing your temperature level. If you do it there might be a possibility that you will break your thermostat completely and you won’t be able to reset your temperature again. So set a constant temperature in which you are comfortable.

=] Remove the debris from AC.

As time goes, things like leaves and dirt will build up on the outside of your air conditioner, reducing system capacity and airflow. So, you should trim any plants around the air conditioner to keep from airflow going to and from the unit.

=] Clean the Air Conditioner coils.

The Air Conditioner evaporator and condenser coils collect dirt over time. This reduces airflow and similarly insulates the coil, reducing its ability to absorb heat. So, to avoid these problems, you must check and clean your air conditioner coils thoroughly for better airflow of the unit and enjoy clean air.

=] Notice the wiring and outlet.

Check the wiring and the outlet where you Air Conditioner is plugin. Sometimes unstable power conditions cause faults in AC units.

=] Inspect the drain.

As time passes, the condensate drain can be block. To maintain your AC and ensure it is functioning well, check that the condensate drain is draining water properly and so if you do notice the water isn’t draining properly, contact your local AC Company.

These were simple steps to do a basic maintenance on your Air Conditioner just to make sure that everything is working properly.

AC Gas Refilling

Many People aren’t aware that the gas in your AC is supposed to last its entire lifetime. You don’t have to get a gas top-up periodically.  Low levels of gas will be due to leaks in the AC; leaks that need to be repaired. AC refrigerant cools the air within your air conditioning system making the AC blow out cool air. But sometimes, the AC gas level goes down or coolant leaks from the AC unit which results in AC not providing cooling. Some of the common refrigerants used in air conditioners today are listed below,

R410A:- commonly known as Puron R410A is used in all the latest air conditioners now.

R22:– commonly known as Freon. It was discontinued due to its harmful effects on the environment.

Reasons for AC gas Leakage

Manufacturing defect: since every manufacturing process isn’t free of errors. There are multiple joints and welds that cause a leak if they aren’t made with high precision. So, if there are manufacturing defects in the AC, leakage will occur in the initial stages of use and can be repaired under warranty.

Incorrect installation: AC installation includes making flare nut connections and bending the copper pipes which may consequently result in a refrigerant leak.

Regular wear and tear: AC’s are pressurized units. With time the bolts and joints get weakened and develop a leak
