Bathroom Cleaning Hacks You Need To Know

Bathroom cleaning is something we don’t usually like to do ourselves, but then it’s an essential task we need to carry out in order to keep our home environment healthy and clean. Dirty stains on the wall, bathtub, floor, sink, or mirrors help the bacteria to grow, which can cause health issues. This is why cleaning your bathroom regularly is crucial.

The key areas that you need to pay attention to while cleaning are:

  • Bathroom Mirrors
  • Shower Heads
  • Bathtubs
  • Bathroom Tiles
  • Faucets
  • Toilet Bowls

Clean and mist free mirrors

Some reasons behind a stained mirror are toothpaste stains, hair spray, and greasy fingerprints. Use this technique to get a sparkling mirror: Take a mixture of warm water and white vinegar in the ratio of 2:1 respectively. Then take a piece of clean cloth and dip into this mixture and wipe the mirror clean.

Sparkling shower heads

Most of us clean the toilets, bathtubs, tiles, and mirrors. However, we fail to consider the shower-head in the process of cleaning the bathroom. Of course, it needs to be cleaned since minute dirt particles can block the nozzles of the shower-head.

To keep the shower-head nozzles free from dirt, wrap it with a plastic bag containing vinegar and leave it for a few hours. Next, remove the bag and gently scrub the nozzles to remove the dirt. Vinegar is an excellent cleaning agent which has the property to dissolve dirt.

Junk free bathtubs

A bathtub is a place where everyone likes to spend a few minutes and try to put away all their stress. While cleaning the bathtub, we should not use hard materials as it could damage its outer finishing. Here are some cleaning tips to remove stubborn stains from your bathtub using an inexpensive, harmless chemical agent:

Take a solution of vinegar in a bowl (known as a universal cleaning agent), then dip a soft clean towel or cloth in the solution. Place this wet towel or cloth on the stained region and leave it in the same place for about 2-3 hrs. Next, remove the towel/cloth and then wash the bathtub with clean water.

Grout free walls and tiles

Glossy and beautiful tiles will always give our bathroom a pleasing and welcoming look, but if the same tiles are not cleaned for a long time then it will become untidy and dull. Therefore, we should clean our bathroom regularly. Here are some useful tactics to remove grout from bathroom tiles:

Prepare a diluted mixture of water, vinegar, and baking soda, take the mixture in an empty spray bottle and spray the prepared solution to the grouted areas in the bathroom and leave it for a few minutes. Next, wash the tiles with clean water. Vinegar is an excellent cleaning solution and it acts as a degreaser and dissolves dirt.

Salt-free Faucets

Whenever we visit the bathroom, we use the faucet and there are chances of it getting dirty very soon. To give your faucet a sparkling look, detach them and soak in a diluted mixture of baking soda and vinegar. Then, leave it for a few minutes and wipe with a clean cloth. In case, you find it hard to detach then follow the same steps as mentioned for shower-head cleaning.

Gleaming Toilet Bowl

A common household cleaning solution can also match the costly toilet cleaners available in the market and provide you with similar results. We usually see brown-yellow rings on the toilet bowl. To get rid of it take a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda and sprinkle it over the stubborn stains on the bowl and allow the solution to stay for few minutes.

It works better if you leave it overnight and then scrub thoroughly and flush it. These home-based solutions can be easily prepared any time you need it.
